Working closely with a PADI Instructor, in this program you will extend your knowledge of diving and you will polish your techniques until the professional level. The training of PADI Divemaster develops your capacities of leadership, and it qualifies to supervise you diving activities and to help to the instructors with the diving students.

During the PADI Divemaster program, you will as much learn techniques of leadership of diving to traverse of the study in the classroom as independently. You will realise techniques in the water and resistance exercises, also you will train with exercises that will increase your organizational capacity and of resolution of problems as well as to help to that others improve their diving. You will start up these knowledge through a structured period of integration or a series of exercises of practical training.

Once certificate as PADI Divemaster you are authorized a:

• To supervise as much activities of training as of nontraining, by means of the planning, organization and direction of immersions.
• To help to a PADI Instructor during the sessions of training of any course PADI of diving.
• To direct to the PADI Skin Diver course and the PADI Discover Snorkeling program.
• To direct PADI Discover Local Diving experience.
• To direct program PADI Scuba Review.
• If you are qualified as Discover Scuba Diving Leader, to direct the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program independently.
• To obtain the level of PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty Instructor to be able to teach the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer specialty.
• Independently to guide the students of the course Open Water Diver in the part of the stroll of the course Open Water Diver during the Immersions of Training 2, 3 and 4 in a proportion of two students of diving to divemaster certificate.
• To accompany during to the students of Open Water Diver under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor:
– Swimming in surface from and to the points of input/output and during the exercises of navigation.
– When the instructor directs an exercise, as an ascent or a reduction, a Divemaster can remain with the other students of diving (with a student individually or the team of companions).
• To accompany to diving students during the Immersions of adventure or in the immersions of training of specialty under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor.
• To direct to the AquaMission de PADI Seal Team.
• To direct the later immersions of the participants of Discover Scuba Diving, under the indirect supervision of an instructor after these have finalized satisfactorily the first immersion with a PADI Instructor.
• To teach courses of Emergency First Response after to have finished the course Emergency First Instructional Response.

The diving gear that you will use:

  • You will use all the basic equipment of diving and some accessories of diving as a slate of diving, knife of diving, compass, diver's watch, etc.
  • It is recommended warmly that you are in possession of your own diving gear, since to become familiar with the own equipment improves the general skills of diving.

The training materials that you will need:

The package of work of PADI Divemaster includes all the necessary one to begin the PADI Divemaster program. The complete set of materials includes:

  • The Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving – a general vision of great amplitude on the physics of the diving, the physiology and the equipment.
  • The Diving Knowledge Workbook – a guide of car study used for the preparation of Divemaster and the Instructor examinations.
  • Small boards of Divemaster.
  • PADI Divemaster Manual.
  • Small board of Discover Scuba Diving.
  • CD-ROM with the description for instructor of the programs directed by the Divemaster (exclusive article nonavailable for its acquisition separately).

In order to make this course you must:

  • To have 18 years of age.
  • To be PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or to own an equivalent certificate of another organization of training).
  • To be PADI Rescue Diver (or to own an equivalent certificate of another organization of training).
  • To have the course Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (or to be qualified in training of RCP and first help of another organization of training) finalized within last the 24 months.
  • To have at least 20 immersions when beginning the course and 60 to the being certificate.
  • To be apt the diving and to present a Medical Declaration, signed by a doctor within last the 12 months.
